Top Movies - Avatar Drops Out Of The Top 5 Box Office After 13 Weeks
After a 13-week run as a Top 5 box office film, the highest grossing film of all time, Avatar slips to #7. Alice in Wonderland was the box office leader for the 2nd straight week with $62 million in receipts. It’s now made $208.6 million in the United States and $429.6 million worldwide after just two weeks.
Rounding out the Top 5 are three new releases and one in its 4th week. In the #2 spot is Green Zone, the new Matt Damon thriller, taking in $14.3 million; #3 is the RomCom She’s Out of My League brought in $9.6 million; #4 is Shutter Island, Martin Scorsese’s thriller, taking in $8.3 million for a four-week total of $108 million. Rounding out the Top 5 for the weekend is Remember Me, the romantic drama starring Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, raked in $8.1 million.

Corey Haim - Fallen Actor To Be Laid To Rest In His Native Toronto
Teen idol and star of the smash 1987 hit, The Lost Boys, died most unexpectedly on Wednesday. According to high speed internet reports, Haim’s manager, Marc Heaslip, has announced that there will be a memorial service held in Los Angeles. Haim’s final resting place will be in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The 38-year-old actor, who struggled with various addictions for most of his adult life, was found dead Wednesday in the apartment he shared with his mother, Judy. There is speculation surrounding the cause of his death, but an initial coroner’s report showed an enlarged heart, pulmonary congestion, and water in his lungs at the time of his death.
